How do you choose the right regulator and lookup?

First identify the legal lender and product type. Then use the official guidance in its state row to select the appropriate registry or complaint route. These links lead to agency information or gateways; they are not claims that every linked page is a direct search form.

This edition covers 50 reviewed states. Use the table for the current coverage and per-record review dates. A state address alone does not establish jurisdiction; institution and product categories matter.

Can you download or cite this directory?

Download the 50-state directory (CSV) or download records, methodology and limitations (JSON). Version 9.0.0 was published October 23, 2026. Source-check dates are recorded separately for each state.

Suggested reference: Borrow Your Loan, U.S. Consumer Lending Resource Directory, version 9.0.0, 50-state edition, October 23, 2026. Cite the individual official agency for a regulatory assertion; cite this directory when referencing the curated cross-state resource list.

How was this directory assembled?

Official state agency pages were individually checked for program scope, license-lookup guidance and complaint routing. URLs point to the official agency guidance or gateway, not necessarily a direct search/complaint form. Sources are linked next to each record; follow the agency instructions for the actual lender and product. No lender is endorsed or individually verified by this dataset.

We retained the official program categories and routing distinctions instead of assuming one lender lookup works in every state. Individual state guides explain the corresponding source context. This directory has not verified or recommended any particular lender and is independent of any loan request.

What are its limitations?

The source-check date is a snapshot, not a promise of continuing availability. Registry categories, jurisdiction and complaint procedures can change. A missing search result is not a legal conclusion; a registration is not a guarantee of suitable terms. A complaint does not guarantee a remedy. For an uncertain transaction, ask the agency which program and regulator apply.

Check the state guides, compare mathematical costs in the Loan Cost Index, and read editorial policy and commercial disclosure. Report a broken resource through contact, naming the state and directory version.
